  • Hey,

Just wanted to say I enjoyed the second part of your talk on email. I’ve constantly struggled with how to handle “to dos”. I generally left them in my Inbox until they were completed, but I loved the idea of having a “Take Action” inbox that I store all those in. I’ve started using this method, and then using “Things” to keep track if it’s something that will take me more than 5 mins to accomplish.

    Great information.. keep it up!

  • Love the show so far. David – your system is identical to mine, except I use Mailtags to tag my mails as they come in, then create smart folders to keep track. One tagged, I dump them all into an archive as you do. My @action smart mailbox is then ‘clipped’ to Omnifocus.

    Keep up the great work!

  • I just listend to your first two podcasts. Great job! I have a question about aliases.

You talk about ways to send emil from different carriers (Comcast, Mobile Me, gMail, etc) with Apple’s Mail app. I don’t believe you mentioned you could also choose between your Mobile Me aliases. But my question is, is there a way on the iPhone to send a message from one of your Mobile Me aliases? It seems like you can’t choose either a different account or alias to reply with.

Related to this, I notice that in Mail app, when replying to an email the alias drop down does not always default to the alais from which it was it was received. Is there a setting I’ve missed to correct this?

    Thanks for the helpful information!

A very interesting and informative podcast. Thanks!

One comment about sending mail from different aliases in Mail. I have three @mac.com aliases that I send mail from, but it drives me crazy that Mail insists on listing the @me.com version of those aliases. It just clutters up the accounts drop-down list with addresses I will never use.

    Keep up the good work!
