Hi
@sebastianf there is a big difference between a symbolic link an syncing!!! Syncing means you have the actual data two times and it uses the real two time disc space.
A symbolic link just pretends to have the data at two locations.

Hi there, great podcast and great episode. Just a heads-up that some of the links are malformed. They should read like this:
http://www.socketheadstudios.com/mytunesync/
http://www.acertant.com/web/tuneranger/default.htm

Keep up the good work!

Hi

What a great show you have put together! Thank you for your effort.

In regards to the limitation of having everything in dropbox folder, there is an excellent solution called Humyo (www.humyo.com). It allows selecting specific folders and have them synchronised with Humyo. Smart Drive is a paid option but price for 100GB seems reasonable to me.

Hope this will help someone.

Just want to mention my favourite sync tool: SyncTwoFolders
You can find it at: http://tcfj.pagesperso-orange.fr/site/index.html
And best of all - it's FREE

Thanks for the show!

Hi,

Thanks very much for the useful information.

The problem is that in Europe you can actually buy Mobileme on Amazon too with a 20% discount BUT they charge you 10€ for shipping fees because Amazon itself does not ship the product (otherwise there would be no shipping fees).

Taking that into account, buying a Mobileme subscription on Amazon makes you save 4€. Too bad Jim!

PS: On eBay, nothing available for the time being :-(

@Gabor When I bought the renewal off eBay there was a license code in the box. I put that code in under the settings tab of my account at me.com and on the expiration date of my previous account it renewed for another year. Didn't involve the disk at all. Hope that helps.

Inside your Mobile Me box there should be an activation code with instructions. Log into the mobile me account you want to extend and follow the directions to activate. It will apply the credit and automatically renew your subscription using your activation code when it expires. This is how David and I both renew our Mobile Me each year.

Thanks for the very interesting show :-))

Just a question about renewing a Mobileme subscription:
My Mobileme subscription terminates end of July.
As suggested in your show, I set my Mobileme account so that the subscription doesn't get automatically renewed.

I've just found a Mobileme CD on Amazon for a very good price.

The question is: if I use this CD to subscribe to MobileMe (before the end of my subscription or just the day it ends), will Apple give me a new Mobileme account (which would be bad for me) or will they let me keep my actual MobileMe account (which would be the best scenario)?
In other words, will Apple regard the move as a renewal or as a new subscription?

I'm posting about that here since I think a clear answer to this question (if somebody has one...) might help a lot of people.

Thanks again!
