I’ve finally caught up to the latest episode after discovering the podcast a couple of months ago. This was a really informative episode, and I’m looking into subscribing to Screencasts Online. Don even offers an educational discount.
A comment on the story of your traveller Ralph, the 1Password user: 1Password is super, but it occurred to me that if Ralph needed to start from scratch with a new Mac, or at least a new hard disk, and he didn’t have his physical backups with him, how did he access Dropbox to get at his 1Password keychain? I’ve got my Dropbox password in 1Password, and it was generated by 1Password to be semi-complex. I don’t have it memorized or written down. Is that a mistake, or am I missing something?
My guess is he had 1Password on phone too. That’s how I get my Dropbox password when I do a clean install.
I don’t have an iPhone, but could access dropbox on my iPod touch. What would someone do without either of those things? Perhaps a question for the agilebits folks.
Thanks for the quick reply.
Thanks for putting together another workflows great show David and Katie.
I was not familiar with Screenflow and I have a question for you and the community. For work, I commonly take keynote lectures that I have written and “perform” them into a mic while recording the fullscreen slideshow within keynote. I can then export the resultant product as a quicktime movie as you know. The final destination for these videos is web streaming and DVD.
If this system is working ok, is there a benefit Screenflow offers above and beyond within this limited usage? My needs are only within keynote. Has anyone used screenflow for a similar keynote use?
Thanks much,
Will
David, can we get your Potter family tree added to the show notes? Sounds useful!
